My Bio
When I make art works, I take “happiness”, “Joyful”, and “Excitement” the most important elements. I prefer bright color to darker color in painting. Yellow color is my favorite color because it makes people cheerful and energetic. Many of my art works have no hard edge but soft gradations of colors. I love to use soft sponges with acrylic paint and to use watercolor paint with pencils and pastels.

As mentioned, I try hard to evoke the feelings, rather than I try to make “reality” like pictures. I believe I can honestly and freely make my images from my hearts with the idea of “the things can be happened”. I’m always trying not to have the idea of “the things cannot be happened”.

I got the ideas through an experience of working in Japanese preschool in California. Children book are the most important way for children to morality and various knowledge. Especially, curiosity can be the greatest motivation for children to learn. I would like to make children’s perspective to the world broaden by taking a value of their feeling of cheerful joy and free and pure thinking.
